Terms
The terms on which Apps 365 Ltd provides the exposurepoint.app website and licenses ExposurePoint to organisations, including free trials.
Last updated: 27 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms form an agreement between Apps 365 Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with number 13955007 whose office is at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom ("we", "us"), and the organisation that uses this website, downloads or licenses ExposurePoint ("you"). ExposurePoint is for businesses and other organisations, not consumers. If you accept these terms for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
Where you and we have signed a separate agreement or order form for ExposurePoint, it takes precedence over these terms where they conflict.
2. Definitions
- ExposurePoint or the Product: our SharePoint Framework web part that assesses a SharePoint site's exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot, supplied as a package for your SharePoint app catalog, with its updates and documentation.
- Order: a quote, order form, invoice or online checkout that sets out the level and fees you have chosen.
- Level: where a licence key works: one site, one site collection, or your whole Microsoft 365 tenant.
- Your Environment: your Microsoft 365 tenant and SharePoint Online sites in which the Product runs.
- Your Data: any data in Your Environment that the Product reads, creates or stores.
3. The product
ExposurePoint runs as a web part in Your Environment, in the browser of the person using it and with that person's own SharePoint permissions. It reads permissions, sharing links, owners, activity dates and sensitivity label status on the site it is placed on, scores the site's exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot, and changes permissions or sharing links only when a person in your organisation confirms a fix. It stores a history of scores in a list on your site. We provide it with reasonable skill and care. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, that it will find every risk, or that it will meet every requirement you have.
4. Your licence
You may install the Product and use its free preview without charge. Subject to these terms, your Order and payment of the fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the full Product at the level in your Order, for your internal business purposes, during the licence term. Microsoft 365 partners and managed service providers may use it for their clients where their Order or a partner agreement allows.
You must not, except as the law allows: copy, resell, rent or sublicense the Product; reverse engineer, decompile or try to derive its source code; work around its licence checks; remove our notices; or use it to build a competing product.
5. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for Your Environment, its Microsoft licences and settings, and the accounts and permissions of the people who use the Product.
- You are responsible for reviewing what each fix will change before confirming it. Removing sharing links, guests or access, and restoring a site's permissions on files and libraries, change who can open content in Your Environment. Access removed can be given again, but people may lose access until it is.
- The score reflects what the person using the Product can read. You are responsible for deciding what a score means for your organisation and what else you need, such as tenant-wide governance or sensitivity labelling.
- You must use the Product lawfully and in line with Microsoft's terms and your own policies.
6. Fees and renewal
Fees are set out in your Order and on our pricing page, in pounds sterling and excluding VAT, which you pay in addition where it applies. Orders in our shop are paid at checkout. Otherwise, unless your Order says otherwise, fees are payable in advance and within 30 days of invoice. Fees are not refundable except where the law requires.
Licences run for twelve months from the date your licence key starts. A licence bought online in our shop at apps365ltd.com is a yearly subscription: it renews for another twelve months, with a new licence key that starts the day after the current one ends, unless you cancel it before the renewal date. Other licences renew only when you place a renewal Order, and we will remind you before they end. We may change our prices for a new term by telling you in advance.
7. Free preview and trials
The free preview shows a site's score and the kinds of issues found, without a licence. A free trial unlocks the full Product for one site collection for 30 days. One trial is available for each site collection; we may limit the number of trials per organisation and may change or end trials at any time. No fees are due for the preview or a trial. When a trial ends, the Product returns to the free preview. Sections 12 and 13 apply to them.
8. The daily check-in
Once a day per site, the Product sends us a small check-in about the installation, as described in our privacy notice. A site administrator can switch it off. Licence checks never depend on it.
9. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own all intellectual property in the Product, this website and the ExposurePoint name and mark. These terms give you only the licence in section 4. You own Your Data, including the score history the Product creates in Your Environment and the reports you download. We may use feedback you choose to give us to improve our products.
10. Data protection
The Product runs in Your Environment and stores its history there. We do not host or receive Your Data, and you are the controller of it. Our use of personal data through this website, trial requests, the check-in and our customer records is described in our privacy notice. If you ask us to look at Your Data while supporting you, for example in a shared screen session, we will use it only for that purpose and keep it confidential.
11. Microsoft and third parties
The Product depends on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online, which Microsoft provides under its own terms. We are not responsible for Microsoft's services, or for changes Microsoft makes that affect how the Product works, but we will make reasonable efforts to keep the Product working with them during your licence term.
12. Warranties
Apart from the commitments in these terms, the Product, the free preview, trials and this website are provided "as is", and we exclude all other warranties to the extent the law allows. The Product assesses one site at a time with the permissions of the person using it. It does not make a site secure or compliant with any law, regulation or standard, it does not assess whether content is sensitive, and it does not cover your whole tenant or other systems.
13. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising from these terms or the Product in any twelve months is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us for the Product in the previous twelve months and £100.
14. Confidentiality
Each of us will keep the other's confidential information confidential and use it only for the purposes of these terms, except where the law requires otherwise.
15. Term and termination
Your licence lasts for the term in your Order. Either of us may end it straight away by notice if the other seriously breaches these terms and does not put it right within 30 days of being asked, or becomes insolvent. When your licence ends, the Product returns to the free preview. The history the Product created in Your Environment remains yours.
16. Changes
We may update these terms, for example when the Product or the law changes. The version at the start of your licence term applies to that term.
17. General
These terms and your Order are the whole agreement between us about the Product. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Nobody other than you and us has rights under these terms.
18. Governing law
These terms and any dispute about them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions about these terms: info@apps365ltd.com.
